The Italian Association of Environmental and Resource Economists is glad to announce its Tenth Annual Conference and the 1st MED-IAERE Conference, to be held in Cagliari on April 21-23, 2022. Both Conferences will be held in a hybrid format, to encourage participation of people who cannot attend the event in presence.
The call for papers for the IAERE Conference is now open and submissions on all relevant topics related to Environmental and Natural Resource Economics are warmly invited.
On the same occasion, for the first time, IAERE organises the MED-IAERE conference with the aim to gather economists working on environmental problems in the Mediterranean area and reinforce cooperation to achieve sustainable development and to contribute to the solution of several pressing environmental issues in the Mediterranean.

PAPER SUBMISSION
Extended abstracts (minimum 1.000 words) or full papers should be
submitted by February 18th.
Submitted contributions are expected to be work in progress, at a
reasonably advanced stage but still unpublished. Only .pdf files in
English are accepted. All submissions will undergo the regular peer
review process. Each author can submit a maximum of two works.
In any case, each conference participant can present only one paper in both IAERE and MED-IAERE Conferences.
Notification of submission acceptance in oral sessions is
expected by March 10th, 2022.
PROJECT SUBMISSION (MED-IAERE CONFERENCE)
In the context of the MED-IAERE Conference, in addition to standard research papers sessions, we open a poster session, aimed at the promotion and dissemination of funded projects focusing on environmental issues in the Med area. SPECIAL SESSION
Special sessions generally offer a forum for focused discussion in new areas or on innovative
applications of established approaches.
Those who are interested in submitting a proposal for a special session are invited to write an email to iaere@iaere.org, with the subject “IAERE 2022: Special session proposal”, specifying the title of the session, the speakers, the titles and abstracts of the four papers presented.
The deadline of the special sessions submission is February 18th, 2022.
The papers proposed shall be uploaded following the standard paper submission procedure, specifying “yes” under the question “Would you like to submit your paper to the special sessions?”. The papers will undergo the standard review and selection process.
Notification of submission acceptance in special sessions is expected by March 10th, 2022.
SPECIAL SESSION "AGRICULTURE AND SUSTAINABILITY"
The IAERE2022 Conference will host a special session on Agriculture and Sustainability, organized in collaboration with the Italian Association of Agriculture and Applied Economics (Associazione Italiana di Economia Agraria e Applicata - AIEAA), the Italian Society of Agricultural Economics (Società Italiana di Economia Agraria - SIDEA), the Italian Society of Agri-food Economics (Società Italiana di Economia Agroalimentare - SIEA) and the Appraisal and Territorial Economy Research Center (Centro Studi di Estimo e di Economia Territoriale - Ce.S.E.T.).
