Call for Contribution: IAERE Newsletter

Shouro Dasgupta, the new editor of the IAERE Newsletter, invites members to send to iaere@iaere.org new contents for inclusion in the website, to be promoted in the next Newsletter. Two new sections will be added to the Newsletter; 1) Research highlight: Each issue will feature an on-going policy or research activity/recent publication considered to be of high significance to the research community. It will be important to find a balance between policy and academic research; 2) Student’s research: It is critical to promote and provide exposure for PhD students’ research activities, thus each issue will include a contribution from a PhD student in Italy.

IAERE Elections 2019: Call for Nominations for President and Council Members

IAERE invites members to send nominations for the 2019 Elections for President and Council Members. Members will vote for:
a. A President, who will join the Council as President-Elect in 2020-2021, serve as President in 2022-2023, and act as Past-President in 2024-2025, at the end of the presidential term.
b.Two new ordinary members of the Council, who will join the council for four years from 2020.

IAERE Session at AIEAA Conference - Conegliano Veneto, 14-15 June 2018

IAERE is organising a session at this year's Annual Conference of the Italian Association of Agricultural and Applied Economics. The IAERE session is scheduled for June 14th, at 2 pm. The following papers will be presented:

- Carlos Dionisio Pérez-Blanco “From holistic to heuristic: Assessing transformational responses to water scarcity in agriculture through modular hydro-micro-macro-economic modeling”

Best Climate Solutions 2018 Award

The Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change, in partnership with Festival for the Earth, launches the 2018 edition of the Best Climate Solutions Award, looking for innovative projects and ideas to communicate climate change in education, advocacy, media production. The winning proposal will be presented at the Festival for the Earth 2018 in Venice and will receive a cash prize of EUR 3.000.
